Terms of Service for Doctful
Version 2026-09-18.4 · Effective from 18 September 2026
Doctful provides digital tools to find professionals, view profiles, check availability and send booking requests. Healthcare services and the patient relationship remain the professional’s responsibility.
1. Service and roles
Dario Sangiovanni (10 Under Tiber Studio) operates the Doctful website and platform, also accessible at doctful.com. Office: Via Castagnevizza 192, Fiumicino, Rome, 00054 Italy. VAT number: IT13120271005. Registered with the Rome Companies Register, REA RM-1766019.
The Platform allows professionals to publish profiles, information and availability and users to search for professionals and send organisational contact or appointment requests. Doctful provides only technical tools that facilitate communication and appointment organisation. Doctful does not provide healthcare services, represent the professional or form part of the healthcare relationship between patient and professional.
The professional or practice is responsible for the service, the information published, the professional calendar, the patient relationship, any economic terms agreed with patients, invoicing and its own legal obligations.
Doctful performs reasonable checks on profiles but cannot guarantee identity, authorisation, reliability or the outcome of care. It may restrict, hide or remove suspicious, unlawful or non-compliant profiles and content when necessary, while observing applicable obligations.
For users, patients and registered visitors, the Platform is made available as a free digital service for search, communication and organisational facilitation. The relationship concerning healthcare services remains outside the Platform and is established directly between patient and professional.
“Platform” means the Doctful digital service and the functions made available to the user from time to time. Doctful acts as an independent Controller for accounts, authentication, security, service management, public profiles and search, its own consents, payments owed to Doctful and legal obligations, as described in the Privacy Policy. For data entered by the professional in connection with care, the calendar, contacts or healthcare obligations, the professional remains the Controller and Doctful acts as Processor only within the limits and conditions of the applicable SaaS agreement.
2. Access and acceptance
Creating and using a registered account requires express acceptance of these Terms and acknowledgement of the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy according to the applicable flow. Merely viewing public pages does not constitute acceptance of contractual clauses reserved for registered users.
When registration uses an external service, the documents are made available and the express completion action may count as acceptance of the Terms and acknowledgement of the Privacy Policy only if the flow actually displayed them.
The user must provide accurate and up-to-date information and keep credentials and access tools confidential. An account is personal: the user may not impersonate another person, allow unauthorised access or use another person’s account. Practices and companies may authorise only users acting on their behalf and remain responsible for the authorisations they grant.
Registration does not collect healthcare consent, marketing consent, consent for optional notifications or cookie preferences: these follow their own flows. For professional users, contractually relevant functions and material changes may require renewed acceptance before access.
Material changes are notified with reasonable notice and normally at least 30 days before taking effect. For professional users, access to affected functions may remain suspended until express acceptance.
The Privacy Policy is available here and the Cookie Policy here.
3. Professionals and verification
Professional registration and the related agreement are reserved for individuals, practices and companies acting for professional purposes. They are not services purchased by patients.
Doctful may perform reasonable manual checks of declared identity, qualification or registration, but those checks do not guarantee identity, continuing authorisation, reliability or professional correctness. The professional is responsible for the truth of the information supplied, and patients must independently assess the professional’s reliability.
Doctful may restrict, hide or remove suspicious, unlawful or non-compliant profiles and accounts, within the law and applicable procedures.
Every user must use the Platform lawfully, fairly and in accordance with these Terms. Unauthorised access, interference with the service, circumvention of security measures, unauthorised automated extraction, reverse engineering, copying or resale of the Platform, and submission of malware or other harmful content are prohibited.
The Platform does not support uploading clinical documents, reports, prescriptions, diagnostic images, healthcare attachments or generic archives, unless a specific authorised function expressly provides for a category of data. Doctful may restrict or remove content that breaches the law, third-party rights, these Terms or the rules of the function used.
4. Bookings and minors
A booking is only an organisational request sent to the professional. It is not, by itself, an offer, acceptance, confirmation or conclusion of a contract for healthcare services, nor informed consent, a diagnosis, prescription or treatment. The professional supplies its own notice and manages the applicable healthcare obligations.
The request is transmitted and retained on the professional’s behalf under the applicable agreement. Confirmation, change, cancellation and performance of the appointment depend exclusively on the professional and the information actually communicated.
Any economic terms, cancellation policies, refunds, penalties, no-show rules and payment methods are agreed directly between patient and professional. Doctful does not determine, guarantee or manage them.
Minors may be recorded as contacts by a professional, but they may not independently create an account or send a request. A registered adult may make the request; the professional verifies identity, parental or guardian authority and informed consent outside the platform. Caregiver contact details do not grant access, delegation or automatic communications.
5. Invoicing and Sistema Tessera Sanitaria
Invoicing and Sistema Tessera Sanitaria features facilitate entry, generation and transmission based on data and settings supplied by the professional. The professional or practice must verify accuracy, completeness, issuance, transmission, receipt, retention and every applicable obligation.
Doctful is not the professional’s tax adviser and does not guarantee the outcome of a Sistema Tessera Sanitaria submission or compliance of an individual invoice. Doctful’s own defects, conduct and mandatory responsibilities remain unaffected.
An invoice may be made available to the recipient selected by the professional through a private link and personal code. The recipient must protect both and must not disclose them. The link and code are a restricted access method, not strong authentication; Doctful applies technical access-protection measures. An invoice may contain fiscal data and treatment items entered by the professional.
6. Content and licence
The professional keeps its rights in its content. It grants Doctful a non-exclusive, limited and non-transferable licence necessary to host, make available and display the profile and its public media. The user may revoke the licence for the future under the applicable procedure; revocation does not require retroactive deletion and does not prevent processing and copies necessary to perform the relationship, maintain security, comply with law, manage disputes, preserve evidence, perform backups or produce irreversible anonymisation.
Each user retains rights in content submitted to the Platform. The user grants Doctful only the non-exclusive, limited, non-transferable licence needed to host, process and make that content available within the requested function. The user may revoke the licence for the future under the applicable procedure; revocation does not require retroactive deletion and does not prevent processing and copies necessary to perform the relationship, maintain security, comply with law, manage disputes, preserve evidence, perform backups or produce irreversible anonymisation. The user warrants that it has the necessary rights and authorisations and does not transfer ownership of the content to Doctful.
The licence does not cover clinical data, chats, anamnesis, notes, documents, reports, prescriptions, diagnostic images or healthcare attachments. After removal, content is not used for campaigns, blogs, reports or references, except for truly irreversible anonymised data or an independent legal basis.
Doctful retains ownership of the Platform, software, marks and documentation. The user receives only a personal, limited and non-transferable right to use the service under these Terms. No right permits copying, modifying, distributing, sublicensing, reselling or reconstructing the Platform.
7. Reports and security
Reports about public profiles or content may be sent to . The designated staff reviews them periodically and may restrict or remove content. Incidents that may concern personal data or security should be sent without delay to security@10undertiber.com.
Users must protect their credentials, avoid accessing other people’s data and report suspicious access or abuse without delay.
Reports should, where possible, identify the relevant profile or content and a concrete reason and must be made in good faith. Duplicate, manifestly unfounded or mass reports may be consolidated and do not require an individual response, without limiting mandatory obligations or any reporting and complaint mechanisms required by law.
Users may also use the reporting channel to challenge a restriction, hiding or removal concerning their profile or content. Where required by law, Doctful will communicate the reasons for the decision and review the report under a reasonable internal procedure.
8. Support and information requests
Any assistance concerning access to and use of the functions actually available is provided, where available, through the channels and under the methods indicated from time to time. A request should, where possible, state the account, function or problem concerned and only the information necessary for verification.
Except for mandatory obligations, authority requests, the exercise of rights provided by law or a separate written agreement, Doctful is not required to provide information unnecessary for using the service, bespoke technical documentation or access to source code, architecture, topology, configurations, credentials, keys, secrets, internal logs, other users' data, questionnaires, audits, inspections or dedicated technical reports.
Doctful may request clarification, consolidate duplicate or overlapping requests and identify reasonable handling methods. Bespoke, repetitive or out-of-scope activities may be refused or performed only under a written agreement on scope, timing and cost, to the extent permitted by law. The security channel is reserved for incident reports and is not a general channel for documentation or audit requests. This clause does not introduce response times, service levels or an obligation to prepare bespoke material. Mandatory rights and obligations remain unaffected.
9. Patient-professional relationship and liability
Patients do not purchase healthcare services from Doctful. Doctful provides only technical tools to facilitate search, contact and appointment organisation and is not part of the healthcare relationship between patient and professional.
Doctful does not collect, hold, transfer or settle payments between patient and professional and does not provide payment services for those relationships. Any payments, refunds, penalties or other economic terms concern only the direct relationship between the parties. A Platform subscription is a B2B relationship with the professional, practice or company.
Doctful is not responsible for the professional’s failure to reply, confirm or cancel an appointment, failure to provide the service, the quality of care, the price charged or the terms agreed between patient and professional. Doctful’s liability for its own acts or omissions, Platform security, personal-data processing and mandatory legal obligations remains unaffected.
Mandatory protections applicable to any digital service supplied to the user remain unaffected.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for wilful misconduct, gross negligence, Doctful’s own breaches, mandatory obligations or rights that cannot legally be limited.
Doctful is not responsible for delays or non-delivery of email, notifications or messages caused by networks, devices, filters, external providers, incorrect contact data or a recipient’s failure to read them. These channels are not for emergencies. Liability for Doctful-attributable failures and mandatory obligations remains unaffected.
10. Availability and changes
The service is provided with reasonable care on a best-effort basis. No minimum availability is guaranteed. Security, continuity and restoration measures are adopted in proportion to the risk and the characteristics of the service.
Where applicable, mandatory obligations concerning digital-service conformity, necessary updates, security, non-supply and user remedies remain unaffected. Clauses on availability, suspension, termination or changes do not limit those rights.
Material changes are normally notified at least 30 days in advance. Immediate effect may be necessary for legal or security reasons. Professional functions may require renewed acceptance before use; continued use alone is not the sole evidence of acceptance of a material change.
The service depends on technical services, connectivity, external providers and third-party services and may be affected by maintenance, urgent work, failures, congestion or events beyond Doctful’s reasonable control. Doctful takes reasonable security, continuity and restoration measures without promising uninterrupted availability or continuous access.
Material changes are made for objective organisational, technical, economic or legal reasons. If a material change is not acceptable, the user may stop using the service and close the account under the applicable process, without additional charges due solely to the change and without prejudice to obligations already accrued.
11. Term and termination
When an account is closed or the relationship ends, the user may request deletion of personal data under the Privacy Policy and applicable law. For data processed on behalf of a professional, return, export and deletion are governed by the applicable SaaS agreement and carried out under the applicable procedure, within a reasonable period and with appropriate security measures.
Requests must be sent to the channel identified in the Privacy Policy or applicable agreement and contain enough information to verify the requester and the scope of the data. Doctful may consolidate duplicate or overlapping requests and ask for clarification before an irreversible operation, without delaying duties imposed by law or an authority.
Data subject to fiscal, legal or evidentiary duties, or litigation, may be retained for the necessary period. For professional subscriptions, in case of non-payment, access may be restricted to read-only for 30 days and selective deletion may follow, without removing data that must be retained.
Doctful may immediately suspend or restrict access where necessary for security, legal compliance or the protection of people or data. In other cases, where reasonably possible, it will notify the user and allow a reasonable cure period before termination.
The professional agreement and data processing terms, where applicable and separately accepted, are available in the Platform Use Agreement and Data Processing Terms.
12. Applicable law and B2B
These Terms are the general rules governing registered accounts. Relationships with guest users and patients are governed by Italian law, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights. No clause limits mandatory protections or imposes an exclusive forum to the consumer’s detriment.
The Platform Use Agreement is reserved for B2B relationships with professionals, practices or companies and applies only where it is applicable and separately accepted. These Terms remain the general rules for registered accounts. In a B2B relationship, where validly applicable, the agreed forum is Rome. General acceptance of the contract and separate approval of clauses subject to Articles 1341 and 1342 of the Italian Civil Code must be recorded separately.
13. Corrections and safeguards
Doctful may correct manifest typographical, translation, numbering, cross-reference, link or display errors and merely editorial omissions that do not materially affect rights or obligations. The correction may be identified by revision, date and hash and takes effect on publication; it does not require renewed acceptance where it does not materially change the relationship and has no retroactive effect.
Omissions or inaccuracies materially affecting the service, price, liability, rights, roles, processing, retention, term, termination, limitations or mandatory protections are handled under the process applicable to material changes. Doctful may act without undue delay where necessary for law, security or an authority decision and will give notice or request renewed acceptance only to the extent required by law or the applicable flow. Continued use alone is not acceptance where an express manifestation is required.
An error may be reported to the contact identified in the Privacy Policy, stating, where possible, the version, passage and reason. Doctful may request clarification and consolidate duplicate reports or reports containing no new elements; a report does not by itself require a bespoke report, analysis, meeting or other additional activity and does not constitute an admission of liability.
Previous versions may be retained to document acceptances. A correction does not cure breaches that have already occurred, change rights, obligations or liabilities already accrued retroactively or limit mandatory rules, authority decisions or non-waivable rights. If a provision is invalid or unenforceable, it remains effective to the maximum extent permitted by law and the remainder of these Terms remains applicable. Failure or delay in exercising a right does not constitute a waiver.
